9/24/2017 Brandon McCarthy, LAD, P
Brandon McCarthy allowed one run on two hits in 3.0 innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants 2-1 on Saturday. McCarthy struck out two, ending the game with a 3.81 ERA and 1.22 WHIP on the season.

Analysis: McCarthy made his first appearance since missing two months with recurring blisters on his right hand. Though he pitched solidly in his first outing following the injury, the veteran will hold down a fantasy-averse long relief role the rest of the way.
9/24/2017 Tony Cingrani, LAD, P
Tony Cingrani walked one and didn't allow a hit in 1.0 scoreless inning as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants 2-1 on Saturday. Cingrani did not strike out a batter, ending the game with a 4.35 ERA and 1.19 WHIP on the season.
9/24/2017 Madison Bumgarner, SF, P
Madison Bumgarner improved to 4-9, allowing one run on five hits and one walk in 7.2 innings, as the San Francisco Giants defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 on Saturday. Bumgarner struck out five, ending the game with a 3.32 ERA and 1.09 WHIP on the season.

Analysis: Bumgarner came in having lost four consecutive starts, though the Giants managed a total of four runs with him on the month in those games. The competitive lefty will get one more outing to finish off his injury-plagued season, and it comes at home versus a San Diego team he's 0-2 with a 3.80 ERA against in three 2017 meetings.
9/24/2017 Pedro Báez, LAD, P
Pedro Baez allowed one hit without giving up a run in 1.0 inning as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants 2-1 on Saturday. Baez did not strike out a batter, ending the game with a 3.12 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the season.
9/24/2017 Sam Dyson, SF, P
Sam Dyson recorded his 14th save, allowing no runs on one hit in 1.0 inning, as the San Francisco Giants defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 on Saturday. Dyson did not strike out a batter, ending the game with a 5.40 ERA and 1.67 WHIP on the season.

Analysis: The save was just Dyson's second this month, though the San Francisco closer has worked a scoreless inning in each of his last eight appearances.
9/24/2017 Corey Seager, LAD, SS
Corey Seager went 0 for 4 Saturday as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants 2-1. He ended the game with a .295 batting average.

Analysis: Seager's elbow problems have resulted in him hitting a paltry .169 (10 for 59) with one home run, six RBIs and a .485 OPS since Aug. 29. Expect the star shortstop to get some days off during the season's final week as the Dodgers prepare for the playoffs.
9/24/2017 Hunter Pence, SF, RF
Hunter Pence went 0 for 3 Saturday as the San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1. He ended the game with a .255 batting average.
9/24/2017 Gorkys Hernández, SF, CF
Gorkys Hernandez went 3 for 4 with two doubles Saturday as the San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1. Hernandez scored twice and stole a base. He ended the game with a .258 batting average.

Analysis: Hernandez entered Saturday's game with just three hits for the entire month of September, though he has stolen a base in each of the first two meetings of this series. His 12 steals are the only fantasy category in which the 30-year-old makes any kind of impact.
9/24/2017 Denard Span, SF, CF
Denard Span went 3 for 4 with an RBI Saturday as the San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1. Span added a stolen base. He ended the game with a .268 batting average.

Analysis: Span entered Saturday's matchup in a 2-for-21 slump and has run hot-and-cold throughout the season. There's probably a good chance the left-handed hitting veteran gets the day off with the Dodgers starting Clayton Kershaw in Sunday's finale.
9/24/2017 Austin Barnes, LAD, C
Austin Barnes went 1 for 3 with a home run and an RBI Saturday as the Los Angeles Dodgers fell to the San Francisco Giants 2-1. The homer was his seventh of the season. He ended the game with a .284 batting average.

Analysis: Barnes ended a 41-game drought since his last homer by connecting off Madison Bumgarner for the Dodgers' lone run. The backup catcher is hitting just .188 (6 for 32) over his last 18 games.
9/24/2017 Joe Panik, SF, 2B
Joe Panik went 0 for 5 Saturday as the San Francisco Giants topped the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1. He ended the game with a .288 batting average.
9/24/2017 Buster Posey, SF, C
Buster Posey went 2 for 4 with an RBI Saturday as the San Francisco Giants topped the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1. He ended the game with a .316 batting average.

Analysis: Posey has now knocked in a run in three straight games while providing his usual positives in the batting average category. The valuable catcher is batting .343 (23 for 67) over his last 18 contests, though just five of those hits have gone for extra bases.
9/24/2017 Cody Bellinger, LAD, LF
Cody Bellinger went 0 for 1 Saturday as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants 2-1. He ended the game with a .274 batting average.
9/24/2017 Brandon Crawford, SF, SS
Brandon Crawford went 1 for 4 Saturday as the San Francisco Giants topped the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1. He ended the game with a .249 batting average.
9/24/2017 Chris Taylor, LAD, 2B
Chris Taylor went 0 for 3 Saturday as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants 2-1. He ended the game with a .289 batting average.
9/24/2017 Kiké Hernández, LAD, CF
Kike Hernandez went 1 for 3 with a double Saturday as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants 2-1. He ended the game with a .212 batting average.
9/24/2017 Logan Forsythe, LAD, 2B
Logan Forsythe went 0 for 3 Saturday as the Los Angeles Dodgers fell to the San Francisco Giants 2-1. He ended the game with a .226 batting average.
9/24/2017 Ryan Zimmerman, Was, 1B
Zimmerman (rest) sat out a second straight game when the Nationals faced the Mets on Saturday.

Analysis: The Nats will hold out the oft-injured first baseman for Sunday's finale as well in hopes of keeping him fresh for the upcoming playoffs. Expect Zimmerman back in the lineup when Washington opens a series at Philadelphia on Monday.
9/24/2017 Matt Harvey, NYM, P
Matt Harvey allowed three runs on four hits and two walks in 4.0 innings as the New York Mets lost to the Washington Nationals 4-3 on Saturday. Harvey struck out two, ending the game with a 6.60 ERA and 1.66 WHIP on the season.

Analysis: Harvey's first career relief appearance was a lot like many of his recent starts. With a wretched 11.78 ERA and 2.45 WHIP in five games since returning from a shoulder injury earlier this month, the once-dominant right-hander continues to look at a highly uncertain future.
9/24/2017 Ryan Madson, Was, P
Ryan Madson did not allow a hit or walk in 1.0 scoreless inning as the Washington Nationals defeated the New York Mets 4-3 on Saturday. Madson struck out three, ending the game with a 1.73 ERA and 0.75 WHIP on the season.

Analysis: While closer Sean Doolittle has been marvelous since he and Madson came over from the A's in mid-July, the other half of the late-inning tandem has been pretty darn good as well. Madson has yielded just two runs across 18 innings while picking up three wins in 18 appearances in a Washington uniform.
