NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Zeke Moore had 17 points to lead five Southern Illinois-Edwardsville players in double figures as the Cougars beat Belmont 79-69 on Thursday night.
Tyresse Williford added 14 points for the Cougars. Cam Williams chipped in 13, Brandon Jackson scored 12 and Kenyon Duling had 11. Williford also had six rebounds for the Cougars, while Williams posted 12 rebounds.
Both teams were playing their first Ohio Valley Conference game of the season.
Nick Muszynski had 15 points for the Bruins (9-5). Adam Kunkel added 12 points. Grayson Murphy had 11 points and nine rebounds.
Southern Illinois-Edwardsville (4-10), which snapped its six-game road losing streak, plays Tennessee State on the road on Saturday. Belmont plays Eastern Illinois at home on Saturday.
